The Little Shop of Secrets 1

His heart went into overdrive ramming against his ribs like a caged beast trying to break free, and sending a rush of blood up his head so fast Jeremy felt his ears burning, his face flushing and all his senses suddenly picking up stuff he never noticed before. His rapid breathing shot out puffs of white vapor which quickly disappeared into the cold December air. Not the thick black smoke billowing from the smouldering corpse before him though, these rose up high like Indian signals before they dispersed.

Jeremy's hands started to shake and he nearly dropped the death-ray; a toy gun he had bought. A toy gun that is, before it created that pile of cinders. Jeremy tightened the grip on his "weapon" and then realization hit him like a 36-ton truck.

"WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST DO?!" Jeremy screamed in his mind as he slowly looked up into the bright morning sky.

"WHY THE HELL AM I DOING WHAT THE HELL IT IS I JUST DID IN A PLACE LIKE THIS?!" he continued as he next lowered his gaze to meet a pavement full of last minute New Year shoppers who had stopped in their tracks and were staring at him in open-mouth-wide-eyed horror.
